Paint A Bin-Pillow Talk

An art-making process that aims to tackle and advocate for healing through art making processes-or-atleast to help people temporarily overcome parts of their traumas. The project is not in any way a form of counselling or therapy, but a contribution and advocate for such. The programme allows people to paint a bin with
the hope of creating an awareness of giving meaning to meaningless objects. This campaign is about pledging on one’s dreams which might seem meaningless to others, the idea is to influence change in attitude on how we used to see our dreams and the community around us. The concept of painting is also about changing someone’s perspective on how they see themselves and giving them a positive attitude about how they look or feel about themselves. we hope to unleash the best in us, hence it is said that “just when a caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly”. We host an annual event in August (Women’s Month) which only has women as speakers who use the space to share their stories with the aim of empowering and healing. The participants bring pillows the space is created for one to be comfortable and free.
